I think I finally beat this game around 2006. I was a youngin and didn't really understand this game as well as I should have. Now, in my 40's, it hits very differently. The ending made me tear up. What I originally took as a victory (Yes, I beat the game!) I now feel deep empathy for the world of Spira and its characters. It was great playing the game with my kids and getting to talk about the religious themes, trauma, love, and loss.
